Building Blocks Calcium is formulated as calcium citrate with Vitamin D and Magnesium included in the supplement for optimal calcium absorption. Deficiencies also occur because the small gastric pouch no longer produces sufficient amounts of stomach acid required for optimal calcium absorption.
